It's the big day, time to say your vows in front of all your family and friends. There is a lot a Bride & Groom do to prepare for such an event.
I put together a little information on what I can provide for you on your wedding day.
Before the wedding
I will make myself available for you and your bridal party before the wedding. At this time I will capture you & your groom separately, as you prepare to head down the aisle. I will also take this time to capture all the wedding decoration & details before the guests start to show up. This will keep the focus on the hard work you have put into your wedding day with out a lot of people in the background. This is a great time to capture your mom helping with zipping your dress, images of your dress before you put it on, last minute things that the bride does perfecting herself before she walks down the aisle. This will also be a time to capture the groom putting on his tie, having one last cheers with the guys, maybe catching that handshake with the soon to be father-n-law. So many memories to capture before the wedding even starts.
During the ceremony
I will cover from beginning to end, all the events of the ceremony and the "Bride & Groom" portrait session. Once the ceremony is finished and you are done with greeting your guest's, I will steal you away for about an hour and a half (time permitted by how much daylight we have) to do your pictures with your new husband. After these portraits are taken, we then add the wedding party, family and friends for photographs if you would like. (I like to focus on the newlywed couple for a solid hour so that we make sure you get the portraits you have always wanted on your wedding day)
During the Reception & Dinner
I would provide my services once you and your groom have joined your guests for your dinner celebration. Before the actual wedding date, we would go over the timeline of the evening and I will coordinate with whoever is doing the music so we may be on task to capture the action of certain events. Newlywed's First dance, father/daughter dance, bouquet toss, cutting the cake, etc... I will mingle with the crowd to make sure we get pictures of a few familiar faces for your wedding book as well.
2nd photographer
I can also provide a second photographer for your wedding ceremony and Bride and Groom session (no reception coverage). You would be amazed of the impact of having an additional photographer on scene capturing images from different angles. This allows me to be in two places at once. During a wedding, there are no "re-do's", so this investment would be well worth it.
Timing
The time of day that your wedding will take place is critical to the outcome of your portraits. After the wedding ceremony is done and I am doing the "Bride and Groom" session, I need to have at least an hour before the sun sets to take great quality pictures. (keep this in mind no matter who you choose as your photographer)
After the wedding
After your wedding day is when the real work starts for me. ;0) I will be choosing the best portraits and adding my personal touch to each one of them. This part of my job is the most consuming as far as time goes. I do not take editing lightly, as it is the last phase before the finished image is delivered. I will provide you with an heirloom ordering session in my studio for you and your husband (mom's are invited as well) to personally go over with you, your portraits from your wedding day. During this appointment, I will provide tangible sample products for you to see and hold so you can choose wisely what product will fit best in your home.
Portrait packages
All my self fulfilled print orders are made in person, assuring no errors in communication. You will have the opportunity to get exactly what you want for yourself, family and even personal thank you cards for your guests. All of this will be explained during your heirloom ordering session at my studio. Payment for portrait packages are expected when you place your order with me, that day.
